The award-winning series The Chosen tells the Easter story. Through beautiful cinematography it explores the life of Jesus Christ through vivid new perspectives. It explores the backstories of Simon Peter, Matthew, Mary Magdalene, Nicodemus, and a few of Jesus’ miracle recipients. It re-tells some of the New Testament parables including The Prodigal Son and The Good Samaritan. And it explores the story of two estranged brothers sent on a cross-country journey by their father.

If you watched some of the episodes, you will know how inspiring it is. It tells the story of Easter in a fresh way and talented actors bring it to life.

This is by far the best thing I’ve watched, I’ve subscribed to Angel for more films to watch I’ve watched this series 3 times I have to show my family.

I have never been more moved by a television series. The tenderness, meaningfulness, and levity is balanced in perfect harmony. Please make more!

I wasn’t sure about the show before I watched it, but it is the best faith-based series I’ve ever seen. I have a degree in film and it is extremely well done.

If you liked The Chosen, there’s a strong chance you will also like Passion Plays. These take place every Easter in city centres around the UK. Each play deeply grounds itself in the local community exploring the elements of the Easter story that most resonate with each community. Sharing ‘the greatest story ever told’ through such relevant theatre proves how many ways there are to tell it, and re-tell it. And because of this its unchangeable themes shine through again and again.
