The last Passion Play on Cowley Road in Oxford  took place in 2012.

Read writer and director Damien Feeney’s blog.

Upwards of 250 people watched it on on Good Friday, 6th April 2012. The Passion Play began at Cowley Road Methodist Church and finished (with refreshments) an hour or so later at the parish church of St Mary and St John, Cowley Road

It tells the story remembered by Christians all over the world for the last two thousand years. It is the story of God’s love for each one of us — a love so deep that he calls us all to him. The events of the first Easter, from Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples through to his arrest, crucifixion and death, leading to the earth shattering moment when he rose again have changed us forever. In 2012, local churches told this story at a number of stations along Cowley Road, following Jesus from last supper to resurrection.
