The Poole Passion has been resurrected into a NEW play entitled “Footsteps”. The new story follows a group of tourists visiting modern day Jerusalem, who upon reaching various sites associated with Jesus, receive flashbacks to the original events 2000 years ago.
The production incorporates original, emotive music composed by local musician and composer Richard McLester, plus lighting and projections by Poole media company Conical Sphere.
The play begins as always at Parsktone United Reform Church in Commercial Road, Lower Parkstone, with audiences once again close to the action. Then during an interval, the actors and audience take a short walk together to the spectacular Victorian church of St Peter’s in Church Road, described as the most beautiful church in Dorset, for a dramatic finale and crucifixion scene.
